Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

In October 2016, two Service Experts centers will be turning heads with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each painting two of their company vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

For the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise funds for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his employees both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a huge number of families who are struggling with this disease, and that means there’s a serious need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in our state – for women and men.”
