Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

In October 2016, two Service Experts centers will be turning heads with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each painting two of their company vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

For the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise funds for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a huge number of families who are struggling with this disease, and there is still a serious need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s thoughts. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in our state – for women and men.”
